Philly Restaurant Week is Back!

09/12/2020

We’ve all grown accustomed to the “cancelled” signs on all of our upcoming Facebook events; however, there’s one event series that is continuing as planned, and it’s a fall favorite! Every September, dozens of restaurants in Center City Philadelphia, all just minutes from your Crane Chinatown apartment, open their doors for multi-course, discounted meals as part of Philadelphia Restaurant Week. The series, Sept. 13-25, will include more than 70 participants, many of them among the city’s most award-winning culinary standouts. Some will serve both lunch and dinner options, many will have outdoor dining available and, for the first time, diners can get Restaurant Week meals to go. While the event may look a bit different this year, the taste—and savings!—will be just as outstanding.

With so many mouthwatering participants, it can be hard to figure out where to go. If you’re looking for somewhere close to your Crane Chinatown apartment where you can enjoy quality cuisine while still staying safe, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Center City is a great option. The venue is offering seating at its outdoor patio along Chestnut Walk, giving you an open-air experience and a picture-perfect Center City backdrop for your meal. Or, if you’d prefer to stroll the half-mile to the restaurant and grab some takeout to have back home at your Crane Chinatown apartment, you can do that as well, as the restaurant is offering takeout options during Restaurant Week.

Iron Hill features a menu full of traditional pub grub—all kicked up a notch! For instance, there are burgers and sandwiches all topped with housemade sauces, hearth-fired pizzas, ribs tossed in Vienna Red Lager and plenty of offerings for vegetarians, vegans and others with dietary restrictions. The dishes are designed to pair with selections from the restaurant’s on-site brewery. Iron Hill features eight seasonal, handcrafted brews made just steps from the dining area, along with another half-dozen signature beers on tap. Be sure to ask your server for pairing recommendations with the special Restaurant Week menus.

So make your reservation, grab your mask and enjoy a well-deserved night out on the town this fall!
