Support This Newly Opened Local Restaurant

10/8/2020

Opening a restaurant is a challenge. Opening a restaurant in the middle of a global pandemic is an entirely different obstacle. But that’s just what dozens of new local eateries near your Crane Chinatown apartment have done this year, defying the odds and getting creative when it comes to showcasing their culinary skill while keeping their patrons safe. We’ve all been stuck at home for quite some time so, now that things are starting to get a bit back to normal, this is the perfect time to get out and about and see how the local restaurant scene has changed.

A great place to do that is at The Land on Callowhill, less than a mile from your Crane Chinatown apartment. The new outdoor beer garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a night out, with an expansive layout that allows for plenty of social distancing at the spacious picnic tables. The décor is simple—umbrella-covered tables with a wide, colorful mural on the back wall, and wood chips on the ground—encouraging a laidback, casual outing with friends.

The menu supports that vibe. The venue features a “happy hour dive cart,” featuring all of your favorite pub grub with a bit of a twist: burgers, quesadillas, nachos, chips and guac, buffalo cauliflower tacos and Cajun spiced popcorn. The drinks side is just as adventurous. There are a half-dozen drafts that rotate and range from IPAs to lagers to a grapefruit wheat beer, while the canned selected features plenty of hard seltzers, ciders and more.

Though the autumn is going to look a little different this year, it’s the ideal time to sit, sip and socialize outdoors with friends—all of which you can do safely at The Land on Callowhill, all while enjoying quality drinks and dishes.

If you’ve gotten weary of ordering pizza or hitting up the same local spots, check out The Land on Callowhill for a new way to support local businesses.
