Check Out Two of Philly’s Newest Hot Spots

06/24/2021

After more than a year of shutdowns, you may be getting a little tired of your go-to takeout and Netflix on the couch. Luckily, the city is slowly starting to get back to normal, and venues all around your Crane Chinatown apartment are rolling out the welcome mat. As you head out to take in all the excitement in the Philly area this summer, this is a great opportunity to try something new—and that’s just what you’ll find at two new venues popping up on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

This summer, the ground floor of the former Embassy Hotel on the Parkway will be transformed into two Philly favorites: Victory Brewing Company and Federal Donuts. Located one mile from your Crane Chinatown apartment, both venues will be major additions to the neighborhood’s nightlife and culinary scenes.

Victory Brewing is a favorite of local beer enthusiasts and already has taprooms in suburban spots like Downingtown, Kennett Square and Parkesburg. Now, it’s set to become a prime competitor in the city’s booming brewpub scene. It will encompass 14,000 square feet, featuring three bars, including one that’s outdoors, along with 3,500 square feet of outdoor space and a rooftop patio—making it a prime spot for those who’ve gotten accustomed to outdoor dining and drinking during the pandemic! The food menu will feature tons of shareables, handhelds, pizzas and more.

On the other side of the building, Federal Donuts will be the company’s 10th Philly location, and one of the closest to your Crane Chinatown apartment. The venue is known for its fried chicken, donuts and coffee, and the new spot will offer both indoor and outdoor dining, as well as takeout and delivery.

If you’re looking to celebrate the start of summer, check out Victory Brewing Company and Federal Donuts for some new Philly flavors.
