Best Dog Park and Trails in Philly near Crane Chinatown

03/8/2022

As the weather warms up, there’s no doubt the dogs at Crane are just itching to grab that leash and go out to one of the many local dog parks in the city.

Here are three dog parks and trails to check out with your pup.

Schuylkill River Dog park
Location: 2500 Spruce St.
Originally part of the redesigned east side of the Schuylkill banks, the river park dog run is where the trendy pups go to hang out with the coolest canines in the city. It helps that there is plenty going on nearby with joggers, basketball courts, and skaters. This park even has two separate areas, one for larger dogs and another for smaller pups.

Orianna Hill Park
Location: 900 N. Orianna St.
Of course, if you’re looking for a dog park that is a little bit more about you, the owner, Orianna Hill Park might be your best bet. The woodchip covered dog run includes picnic tables, benches, and is even located right next to the Liberty Land concert and event space in Northern Liberties.

Wissahickon Valley Park
If you’re okay with a trip outside of the city, Wissahickon Valley Park is one of the greatest hiking trails in our region. With hidden sculptures and secret benches with views proclaiming, “wish you were here,” it really is one of the best parks to take your pet for a day trip.
